Parents and Students,

It’s hard to believe we are nearly halfway through 3rd quarter. This has been a school year unlike any other we have experienced and we appreciate your efforts to follow local safety guidelines to help keep our school open for in person learning. We feel very fortunate to welcome students to school each day while so many other areas in the country are still holding school remotely. We look forward to continuing to work with students and are hopeful about what the future holds.

We wanted to make you aware of some important items related to our upcoming Parent/Teacher Conferences:

  1. We will be holding Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, February 24th. Students will be on our early out schedule. We will dismiss at 11:30 am and PT Conferences will be held from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we need to limit the number of students and parents physically in the building.

As a result, here is how we will be conducting conferences this year:

  • We want to focus on meeting with parents and students with the greatest need.
  • We ask you to schedule a conference through Google Meet with a specific teacher. All teachers will be sending out a link on Tuesday 2/16 that will allow you to schedule an appointment.
  • If you feel that you must attend in person, visits will be limited to one parent/guardian and the student. You will still be required to make an appointment and will need to contact the teacher to inform them you would like to meet in person.
  • Any parents meeting in person will need to have their temperature taken and answer the symptom check questions as you enter the building.
  • Each conference will be held to a 10 minute limit to help accommodate as many parents and students as possible.
  • Any in person meetings will take place in the teacher’s classroom. All must wear a mask and maintain social distance.

If your student is doing well in class, we are so proud of them and thank them for their hard work and dedication. We have been so impressed with the resilience of our students during this difficult year.If you have a specific question that does not require a meeting, please email the teacher.

Thanks for your support and vigilance as we continue to work to hold school during this unique time. We know it takes our whole community to keep things moving forward. Go Grizzlies!
