Community Council Meeting

March 9, 2022

10:15 a.m.

Welcome – Mr. Craynor

Present- Bret Craynor, Lacy Richards, Sandy Green, Kenny Olsen, Jamie Pilkington, Dana Lamb, Cindy Pendleton, Leslie Saunders, Lori Brown

Approval of Minutes – Motion to approve minutes by Lacy, second by Kenny

Mr. Craynor talked about the current registration numbers and the increase of students for next year.  He has asked the district for 3 portable classrooms and needs 2 for sure.  He is waiting to hear from his supervisor.

  • Waiting on numbers to see what our FTE is.
  • Currently this year at 1144
  • Next year projected at 1196

Mr. Craynor talked about the 2021-2022 budget and how we are on track to get to our 10% carry over.  Showed the Trust lands spending sheet.  Mr. Craynor asked if there were any questions.  There were not any questions at this time.

The council talked briefly about the building of the new High School and the New Jr. High as well as the appointment of the new Superintendent and the fall out that will ensue when they start naming the additional positions.
