    • Mr. Craynor talked about creating a new policy next year to not allow cell phones to be seen or heard at any time in the school from 7:15 am to 2:30 pm. The concern is for the mental health and safety of our kids. Counselors and administration are dealing with so many cell phone bulling, harassment, and meetup issues that are happening in the school day and the phones have just become a big distraction to the learning environment. The council was supportive of the policy.
    • We also had a discussion about Den Time and what we would like it to look like in the future. The are multiple options:
      • No den time. Add the time into classes
      • Study hall 5 days a week
      • Hybrid of study hall/charter ed.
      • The discussion was had that students do not care for the charter education and are not listening to it although it is needed.
      • Mr. Craynor indicated that they will be doing some random focus groups with students and teachers to discuss den time and its future.

Meeting was adjourned.
